#80. Buffalo Springfield | Buffalo Springfield Again (1967)

This was a little more like it. I've only ever really known Buffalo Springfield for their hit "For What It's Worth," but I was glad to listen to more of the group that helped catapult Neil Young and Stephen Stills into folk-rock stardom.

I'm not sure if it was just the juxtaposition of listening to the psychedelic sounds of Country Joe
against the soothing country-fied sounds of Buffalo Springfield that made me like this album so much, but it was a welcome relief.

This album features what is probably the first collaboration between Stephen Stills and David Crosby. "Rock & Roll Woman" was co-written by an uncredited Crosby, who was ousted from The Byrds for his controversial song "Triad," about a ménage á trois. Simultaneous tension in Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds and The Hollies would contribute to the later formation of Crosby, Stills & Nash.
